Foodex 2018: Come and visit the Testo stand and discover our measuring solutions that ensure Food Safety from farm to fork
Measuring instrument manufacturers Testo, will be at Foodex demonstrating our safety equipment for the processing sector. On stand K310, our experts will be on hand to explain how Testo’s range of instruments help operators ensure they are storing, producing and distributing food safely from farm to fork, whilst also enhancing process efficiency.
Testo’s range of Food Safety equipment includes data loggers, thermometers, pH meters, cooking oil testers, infrared thermometers, thermal imaging cameras, thermal barriers and more
On our stand, Testo will be giving out Free sausages, as part of our ‘how hot is your sausage’ application display. We will be doing live demonstrations of how to use Testo thermometers to show both the core temperature of the sausages, and surface temperature of the griddle during cooking. Thus, ensuring we are cooking the sausages at the correct temperature, and ultimately, proving we’re doing so safely.
As well as the sausage giveaway, a major focus at the show will be our data logger range, suitable for many applications in the food processing sector. These include low-cost loggers for simple temperature and/or humidity measurement in a cold storage room for instance, right through to the temperature of production items or the surface temperature of machines or motors themselves. Testo’s high-end data loggers have the capability to measure even the most extreme temperature ranges in production processes.
Another focus product is Testo’s Saveris 2, automated climate monitoring system. A cloud-based system that stores all measurement data in one central place, Testo’s Saveris 2 removes the need to collect data manually, meaning staff can use this time for other important tasks. There is also no longer a potential for readings to go missing. This has proved very handy for audits.
All Testo food safety equipment is HACCP certified. As well as those mentioned, Testo will have our full range of instruments on display including data loggers, thermometers, pH meters, cooking oil testers, infrared thermometers, thermal imaging cameras, thermal barriers and more.
In April 2018, the UK’s premier trade event for the food and drink processing, packaging and logistics industries once again comes to Birmingham. With an expected 30,000 attendees across the 5 shows, the show aims to shine a light on top trends across the food manufacturing sectors; from improving traceability and food safety, transforming productivity and highlighting the latest new ingredients and super foods to make an impression on the industry.

Win a testo Smart Probes Heating Set
We are giving visitors to PlumbExpo a chance to win a testo Smart Probes Heating Set worth £185 just by heading over to the Testo stand P124 and putting your details into the draw – the winner will be announced shortly after the show closes on the 1st February.
The compact testo Smart Probes Heating set with the testo 115i clamp thermometer, the testo 510i differential pressure measuring instrument and the testo 805i infrared thermometer is ideal for key measuring tasks carried out by heating engineers.
What’s on show?
The testo 320 Flue Gas Analyser
Visit the Testo stand to see the new testo 320 Flue Gas Analyser. Designed to provide the domestic engineer with all the functionality to provide a complete heating system diagnosis, the testo 320 Flue Gas Analyser has a colour graphic display, providing a unique user interface experience to allow simple access to measurement menus for flue gas analysis, draught measurement, pressure, ambient CO measurement, letby & tightness testing, and many more. Use the testo 320 to quickly determine and eliminate malfunctions, monitor legal limit values and spot checks in daily work on servicing heating systems.
The testo 320 Flue Gas Analyser comes as standard with Bluetooth communication to android devices such as a smartphone or tablet device using the Testo Combustion App. This allows users to control the analyser remotely, view graphical data on set parameters, and also provide fast and efficient reports on measurements direct from site via email.
The Testo 320 can also be equipped with optional probes to provide the abilty to carry out gas leak detection on pipework, and also if required measurement of ambient CO & CO2 values.
To keep the total lifetime costs of using a flue gas analyser to a minimum, Testo Service and Calibration is available from our UKAS (ISO/IEC 17025:2005) accredited laboratory and comes with simpler pricing. Choose from two service options- Pure and Premium. With Premium level service users of Testo analysers get a true ‚fixed cost‘ service and calibration offering, which for the testo 320 model is £139 per year and includes all sensors, service parts required, and carriage.
Our award winning Smart Probes and Thermal Imaging Cameras
Smartphones and tablets make our day-to-day life easier in almost every situation, so why can’t this apply to contractors’ measurement tasks? That’s precisely what Testo’s product developers asked themselves – and the result was the Smart Probes range. Eight pocket-sized professional measuring instruments which can be connected to a smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth and are operated entirely via the free Smart Probes App. Each instrument has been designed for it’s own specific application, measuring temperature, humidity, pressure or air velocity. Competitively priced, Testo Smart Probes are the ideal instruments for HVAC contractors with an enthusiasm for technology.
Also on show will be our thermal imaging cameras, Testo 865, Testo 868, Testo 871 and Testo 872, designed for many applications within the buildings and electrical trades for fast identification of faults and problems such as overheating electrical connections and wiring, tracing hot water pipework, leak detection, and many others. With some models offering WiFi connection to a smartphone or tablet device this allows users to provide fast and efficient reports from site via email.
Our latest range of electrical test instruments
The testo 760 Digital multimeter makes day to day testing of voltage, current, and resistance simple, with its innovative operation that uses automatic recognition of test lead position to then set the parameter to be measured. Unlike traditional multimeters that use a rotary style dial to set a parameter, the testo 760 ensures that the engineer does not mismatch the test lead position to the required input, and if an incorrect setting is applied the instrument will prompt the engineer with a warning message on the display and not allow the parameter selection. This feature enhances the safety when using a multimeter as it helps prevent damage to the instrument through incorrect input selection.
For engineers who require simple measurement of current values in day to day tasks the testo 770 Clampmeter offers a fast and simple way to measure both AC & DC currents without having to break the circuit. With a unique clamp mechanism that allows the user to select a cable for testing even in the narrowest spaces, the testo 770 combines a clampmeter design with the added functionality of a DMM.
As well as the current clamp, the testo 770 can measure AC/DC voltage, resistance, and continuity using the supplied test leads just like a standard DMM. For heating engineers, the testo 770-2/3 versions offer a μA measuring range enabling fast testing of FFD’s on gas burners. Additionally, the testo 770-3 offers a Bluetooth connection to the free Testo ‘smart’ App allowing display of parameters via a smartphone or tablet device, and simple on-site reporting of measurements.
