The New Testo Manifold range – Priced to make analogue obsolete

They’re finally here.

Introducing the next generation of digital refrigeration manifolds: the New testo 549, 550, and 557 (testo 557 coming soon). Now with 60 refrigerant profiles and the added functionality of leak tests, Testo digital manifolds really are the perfect tool for every job.

With the option of Bluetooth capability users can now connect to our Brand New Testo Refrigeration App, which is exclusively available to Testo customers.

Testo’s new manifold range are incredible value, completely negating the price advantage of analogue gauges

Brand New App and Bluetooth capabilities

The App integration via Bluetooth for the testo 550 and the New testo 557 is perhaps the biggest strength of the new manifolds. It gives users new possibilities for working faster, more comfortably, and therefore more efficiently.

Using the App measurement data can be read directly on a Smartphone or tablet, and measurement reports can be finalised and sent directly on site. The list of stored refrigerants can also be easily updated via the App.

With Testo digital manifolds, many of the refrigeration contractor’s tools become obsolete, and are replaced by only one – and a very precise one at that. There is also an option to select your most important refrigerants as favourites, for even faster access.

A new, better-performance generation

Another major strength of the New Testo manifold range is their increased performance capabilities. The pressure ranges of the 549, 550 & 557 have all been increased to 60 bar, the battery life extended to 250 hours, and there are 60 common refrigerants stored in the instruments. A new metal frame around the display has also been installed, making the instruments more robust than ever.

These days, many spheres of life would be unthinkable without digital technology. Most of us wouldn’t be without our Android or IPhone, and the days of the Nokia 3310 for example seem a distant memory. The refrigeration industry is no exception to this logic, yet analogue manifolds are still widely used.

Admittedly many refrigeration engineers started with analogue gauges and therefore don’t know anything different, but isn’t it time for an upgrade? We all grew accustomed to our 3310 but at some stage we had to accept it became outdated. Digital manifolds are the future of refrigeration engineering.

1 instrument to cover every job

According to numerous studies conducted by government organisation “Energy Star”, up to 74% of all refrigeration systems are incorrectly configured using analogue measuring technology.* Analogue gauges been proved inaccurate, inconvenient to handle, and they require the user to interpret the measurement results.

No matter how tough the job is, our New refrigeration manifolds are be up to the task

With digital manifolds from Testo, you are equipped for all day-to-day challenges in refrigeration contracting. You can measure various operating parameters with only one instrument. Get a comprehensive overview of the condition of a refrigeration system or heat pump in real time, whenever you need it.

Such reliable measurement results lead to efficiently-configured refrigeration systems, and have even been proven to save up to 12.5% of energy costs* – plus you need considerably less work time.

So those are the improvements, what are the options?

With the introduction of the new range, no matter your budget or requirements, Testo will have a solution. Here is a breakdown of the latest additions:

New Testo 549 – Our best ever value manifold

The biggest strength of the Testo 549 digital manifold has to its phenomenal value. At under £200 it is our best ever value manifold. It precisely measures high side / low side pressure and instantly displays the corresponding saturation / evaporation temperatures for 60 refrigerants. With optional temperature probes, automatic superheat and sub-cooling calculations can be displayed.

New Testo 550 – With Bluetooth capabilities and New Refrigeration App

The testo 550 instantly displays superheat and sub-cooling for up to 60 refrigerants. It also measures high / low side pressures and temperatures. It also has a Bluetooth connection, opening up new possibilities for efficient analysis and documentation.

The New 550 is better value than the previous version with even more capabilities

New Testo 557 – The ultimate in precision measurement (coming soon)

In addition to the strengths of the New 550, the testo 557 digital manifold will offer a 4-way valve block for fast, safe and efficient work in commissioning, service and maintenance. A further special feature is the new highly precise external probe for the testo 557, for even more reliable performance.

Measurement Solutions for Refrigeration Technology

By using digital manifolds from Testo, one instrument records a wide range of parameters: they can measure pressure and temperature values quickly and easily, or carry out temperature compensated tightness testing. Data can be stored and evaluated via the App and measurement protocol can be printed out directly on site.

Testo’s new Digital manifolds incorporate both the price advantage formerly associated with analogue measurement, and the undeniable precision that only digital equipment can offer.
