Pressure is affected by temperature; the most visual example is the effect hot or cold weather can have on car or bicycle tyres. The same effect applies to pressure in a refrigeration system. To prove a system-tightness, just measuring pressure over a period of time is not sufficient; in addition, the pressure measurement needs to be adjusted with regard to the ambient temperature.
