Do you know the range of temperatures that you are going to be imaging?

Be sure so that you can set up your camera with the correct range to view the subject temperature range correctly.

While many infrared cameras claim to be able to detect and measure objects in a wide temperature range, (for many of the “affordable cameras”, from –20 C to 350 C), they may not be able to do it within the temperature span of a single image.
